In Caliph by Nabilah Said, two women strike an unlikely friendship in a Garden Centre. Within a prosaic setting, ugliness creeps in. The play explores issues surrounding Islamophobia, race relations, female kinship and legacy. An excerpt was read at The Miniaturists: VAULT Edition at London’s VAULT Festival.
